Here is my first little birdie, a free pattern off Craftsy. I think he's cute and the colors will work with what I will be putting together. My problem is - should it look this choppy or am I being over critical due to my usual quilting projects being modern comfy quilts. You know matching points, the kind that make you say "YES" when it just comes together.
Thoughts?

I think your bird looks great! It looks exactly like the pattern. I'd say you did a stellar job :) Keep going!!
ReplyDeleteBased on what I can see of the pattern, you birdie looks JUST like the pattern. I would have to say you have done a very good job - keep it up! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good looking bird! :) I think you did a great job.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great to me too!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Sometimes it can take a while to get used to the look of complicated paper pieced blocks since they have so many seam lines. Once its quilted you won't notice. :)
ReplyDeletethank you that actually makes me feel better,
DeleteI did another birdie and he doesn't look bad at all!
Looking good. It might be the way to attached it to batting. It doesn't loook very flat but that is probably just the picture issue. The bird is great.
ReplyDeleteThe batting is only temporary, the block seems fragile and I didnt want it to loose stitches while I make others
ReplyDeleteI think the bird looks great. But remember, no one else will be looking at it from 3" away. Good job!
ReplyDeleteIt's just right, looks exactly like the pattern. I say well done!
